Great experience. Challenging at checkin.

The resort was nice. Rooms were clean. Most of the workers were friendly.

Had to change rooms three times to get the room we expected from booking. Didn’t like the fact that you can’t use an upgrade when going through booking.com

It was a fantastic vacation!

The property is stunning! It combines old world charm with modern updates and amenities. The pools are great, the private beach is a major plus, and the views of St. John and beyond are breathtaking.

The gift shop leaves a lot to be desired for a 4 or 5 star resort. My wife and I went looking for some gifts and keepsakes and there wasn’t anything worth buying. We also had a bad experience at the Bluewater restaurant. The wait staff seemed to completely forget we existed. It took o we an hour for our food, we had one drink and were never asked if we’d like another one the entire time.

The breakfast was ok to my girlfriend to it was a little expensive be it was good and I think they should give carts to drive because walking up a lot of stairs and was not good be I really!! Had a great time

Wonderful staff and service

Room and view were beautiful. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant options both onsite and accessible via their free shuttle were excellent.

It's a bit out of the way from the island's main hubs. Perfect if you want to sit at the beach all day and relax but not ideal if you're looking to explore the area.

Great location with scenic views and beach, extremely friendly staff and great food options on property.

While access to the resort via golf art is easy, access by foot can be a bit of a chalange.

Often, water in shower would stop in the middle of a shower or be reduced to a trickle Food spilled on stairs not cleaned up during my stay Fifty five minutes for staff arriving to help with bags durning my checkout and I had to carry them to the street

Most luxurious spot on the island

The gardens / grounds are breathtaking!!! The pools were in abundance. The views are amazing. Most of the staff are very helpful and accommodating. The food is yummy. The beds are very comfortable.

They don’t clean the rooms every day; it’s more like they make the beds and bring towels. I wanted clean sheets. The menus are limited; felt like we ate the same things every day. They don’t have smaller towels for hands or hair; only one size in the bathroom. They charge a delivery fee in addition to the high prices for in-room dining, even when the restaurants were closed due to storms. The beach area is small and was dirtier than going to the local beaches.

Beautiful weather, NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL.

Staff was nice

The timing and the AMOUNT of staff was awful. They were at FULL CAPACITY w about 70% staff. You waited for everything!! NOT RITZ STANDARDS. I spent $11k just to wait 2 hours after ordering to get my food. Have to beg the pool attendants for a menu, and then get nickel and dimed after not expecting to be charged for things. Kid pool NOT open, so kids running rampant all over the place.

Shocking surprise from Booking.com - Mess and dissappointed!!!!

Views and beaches - renting boat to visit BVI

At the time of booking, your website displayed photos of the Ritz Carlton resort, which I now know were taken before the hurricanes hit St Thomas in September 2017. When I arrived at the hotel on Friday (26th), the normal entrance was closed and I was directed down some stairs to the entrance of St Thomas Great Bay Resort. The receptionist then told me that a number of the facilities including the spa, drinks service at the pool, tennis court and restaurants were all closed and that the hotel was under construction. I told her I had no knowledge of this at the time of booking. I tried to find alternative accommodation at that stage but there was nothing available in st Thomas for dates i was visiting st Thomas. In order to get to my hotel room, I had to walk past a number of signs saying “construction zone” and “danger”. A number of the doors were dilapidated and it appeared as if the resort was empty. When I got to my room, I noticed a number of the facilities that a mid range hotel would have, were not present (for example there was no bottled water, coffee or tea or bath robes). Wandering around the resort, you can clearly tell that it is in construction, there were construction workers on every roof the whole time during our stay and their tools at time were very noisy. There were ladders, rubble and construction tools throughout the whole resort. The resort seemed like a ghost town. We were later told by staff that the only people staying there were the construction workers and some government staff helping with post hurricane efforts. The staff were very surprised that we weren’t alerted to the status of the hotel and the fact that it was in construction and that a number of facilities weren’t available, at the time of booking. The standard of the accommodation and facilities were drastically different.

It was horrible. The hotel was undergoing renovation and basically was not functional at all. since workers were working everywhere, it was very noisy. the pools were open but without any service at the pool. I do not know how they can accept guests at that condition with the full price!!!!! I booked that hotel for 3 nights but we decided to leave after first night to save the reset of our vacation. Not only we lost our money but also it destroy one day of our short vacation.

We had no idea that this property is the damaged Ritz Carlton. Very inadequate.

The room we stayed in was recently updated due to the hurricane. However, there is definite wear and tear noted on the doors, window, and the roof over the patio was not even finished yet.

The pool area was nice, but there was no staff to maintain. Therefore, used towels, trash, etc, lingered until picked up by cleaning crew at night. In addition, there are still no facilities, such as restaurant, pool bar. You have to walk to the timeshare side in order to get any services, about a 5-10 minute walk.

Wouldn’t stay there again

Liked the food in beach restaurant, beach is quite nice but nothing close to St, Johns beaches.

Hated the bed. Service almost non existent. Waiting for shampoo 2h. My Philips Sonicare toothbrush for $210 suddenly broke after cleaning lady came 3rd time (no, not the battery, the toothbrush is dead!). I understand there were 2 hurricanes last year but the hotel and rooms need updating, some things are just old, not hurricane broken. If you want a nice beach then you have to travel by taxi, ferry, taxi again to St. Johns beaches. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel expensive for what it offers, staff not very responsive, some people very cold, obviously not all. I find it very expensive for what it offers, the cost of the breakfast is abusive USD $ 35 PP. I recommend you look for cheaper options even if you do not stay on the beach, small but charming hotels that do not belong to famous networks, you will feel better received and with the money left over you can enjoy a great dinner or anything else you wish

Beautiful property but wait for construction from hurricane to be completed

Entire property is under construction due to the hurricane . Amenities are affected . No room service, no pool service , hard to get around with all construction going on . Definitely a beautiful property when up and running at full capacity .

Lighting due to some areas closed could have been better . Felt decilated and almost closed . No one around . Made it feel unsafe .
